Job Title                                :               K-1, Project Director / Project Leader / Project Coordinator

 

 

The Role:

Project Director will be responsible for overall co-ordination with Detail Design Consultant, Construction Contractors, D&B Contractors, and MEGA Personnel as also the four consortium members. He will take decisions and give directions to facilitate completion of project without time and cost over runs without sacrificing quality and safety. He will be responsible for administrative as well as technical control of GEC team and its performance. He will be responsible for proper implementation of provisions in the Terms of Reference and relevant manuals, rules and regulations as per contract and execution of work by contractor in accordance with specifications and time lines laid down in the contracts. He will set up reporting system from Contractors and Senior GEC Experts to his office and further to MEGA. Submit weekly / monthly progress reports to MEGA. He will be responsible for implementation of Project Management Plan - develop project management procedures, planning required and project controls and will have overall control for testing and commissioning of different elements of the project.

Job Profile

 

  • Responsible for overall project delivery (Civil Works, Systems & RSK, Architectural, Safety, MEP, Enabling Works, Stakeholders & Interfaces, and Operations)
  • Review & supplement of the detailed project report/concept report and all design reports as available
  • Assistance to MEGA in selection of Contractors/DDC and other services
  • Assistance in preparation of preliminary design and tender for elevated portions/stations and service buildings
  • Assistance in preparation of preliminary design and tender for underground portions / underground stations
  • Assistance in preparation of Tender Document for procurement of system, Rolling stock and depot Equipment
  • Review & proof checking of the detailed design and construction design
  • Assistance in supervision & monitoring
  • Assistance in Training & Commissioning
  • Preparation of all manuals
  • To provide technical training to the MEGA personnel

 

Minimum Qualification and computer knowledge requirement

 

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and preferably an MBA.
  • Should have a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office and email conversant.

 

  • Minimum 25 years of experience and 7 years of experience in metro
  • Minimum 7 years’ of experience at working on same level (Project Director) or one level below (Deputy Project Director)
