SYSTRA are now recruiting an exciting opportunity to lead the core Digital Engineering team in the UK & Ireland. The role is to provide leadership and management of the Digital Engineering team working alongside Information Management and Project Technology.
The Digital Engineering team are focused on project delivery, providing core BIM and IM management services from tender to completion. This role will build on the existing team capabilities to meet the business operational objectives and establish a team strategy and development plan to ensure the team and wider business are at the forefront of digital engineering delivery.
The role will also develop transverse technical support and interface with the Systra global digital network to ensure we share practices, skills and technologies to best effect and build connected teams across the Systra business.
The Team is continuing to grow in number, capability and service offering, expanding to meet our clients needs and market opportunities. To meet this demand for skills and growth, the role will take the lead in establishing a new Systra training and development center for digital engineering and IM apprentices and young professionals, to grow our own talent across the business and support the development of critical skills in the sector.
Main Function of the role:
- Client engagement and Work Winning
- Line Management of Teams
- Technical Leadership of discipline and assurance of production
- Establish integration of the Digital Engineering team with the Practice disciplines, Project Management function and consultancy, to enable effective communication and support in Digital Engineering services.
- Inspire technical excellence within the discipline
- Training, development and mentorship within the discipline
- Resourcing of bids and projects and utilisation/productivity of the discipline
- Innovation, development and new technologies
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Degree or equivalent qualifications in a relevant subject
- Significant Digital Engineering expertise from an infrastructure industry sector including knowledge of the rail industry
- Demonstrable BIM and Information Management expertise
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Desire for continuous improvement and innovation
- Experience with client engagement and relationship management
- Expertise utilising the Bentley suite of software, alongside ideally, Microstation, Projectwise and Microsoft Office proficiency.
