SYSTRA are looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high profile infrastructure projects such as Transpennine Route Upgrade and HS2, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.

 

We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering and Environmental team in our Birmingham York, Leeds or Manchester office, initially working as part of our Main Works Civils High Speed 2 project team, by recruiting a Principal Landscape Architect.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

Main Duties

 

  • Lead on project deliverables, and with the general operations of the Landscape Discipline
  • Contribute to technical excellence within the discipline
  • Lead with production and technical deliverables
  • Support Discipline Lead in Developing and implementing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery, and the quality, of output within the discipline and on individual projects
  • Line management duties Maintain strong working relationships, communication, knowledge sharing, innovation sharing with SYSTRA resource centres around the world and our industry partners and supply chain
  • Assist and support Landscape Discipline in Client engagement to provide a deeper understanding of future needs and to position SYSTRA in the UK market

 

Experience

 

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Chartered member of the Landscape Institute.
  • Previous experience in Landscape Architecture ideally within the infrastructure industry is desirable.
  • Numerate and well organised and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Experience or interested in working with international colleagues of different technical cultures or on overseas projects.
  • Fully familiar with and ability to use a range of 2D and 3D software packages including but not limited to Autocad, Adobe Creative Suite and Bentley packages (Microstation, OpenRoads, Projectwise).
  • Enthusiastic and creative designer.
