SYSTRA are looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high profile infrastructure projects such as Crossrail and HS2, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.

We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in our Birmingham office, initially working as part of our Main Works Civils High Speed 2 project team, by recruiting a Junior Consents Engineer.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

Main Duties

 

  • Support the applications for securing statutory consents, prepare consent documents, working with Local Authorities, statutory bodies and other transport authorities
  • Support in maintaining the project consents register and all required consents are applied for in accordance with the project programme.
  • Assist in providing technical guidance to discipline design teams
  • Assist the development of innovative solutions to consent problems
  • Collaborate with international technical design teams in the delivery of designs

 

Experience

 

  • Understanding of consents required to deliver planning, environmental and highway related consents 
  • Experience of environmental or highways or town planning on construction projects.
  • Working towards professional membership with a recognise institution
