SYSTRA are looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high profile infrastructure projects such as Crossrail and HS2, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.

We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in our Birmingham office, initially working as part of our Main Works Civils High Speed 2 project team, by recruiting a Junior Geotechnical Engineer.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

Main Duties

 

  • Undertake design analysis and calculations.
  • Support sustainable and efficient design solutions to client requirements.
  • Support in the preparations of design information and models for BIM submissions.
  • Support the Production of reports and collation and integrated design solutions 
  • Aid the production of design proposals that resolve client challenges 
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Demonstrate logical and methodical probelem solving to the design , planning and organisation of a project 
  • Implementation of CDM and design requirements 

 

Experience

 

  • Degree qualified and working towards professional membership within the field
  • Awareness of geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and/or geo-environmental engineering
  • Support in the production of earthwork design, ground improvement, foundations, retaining structures and slope stability assessments
  • Support in the preparation of ground investigations documentation
  • Ideally have knowledge of Holebas, Slope/W, Wallop, Praxis and/or Limit State
