SYSTRA are looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high profile infrastructure projects such as Crossrail and HS2, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.


We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in our Birmingham office, initially working as part of our Main Works Civils High Speed 2 project team, by recruiting an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to manage production and delivery of design.


The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

Main Duties


  • Responsible for ensuring consistency across the project packages of work, changes are implemented within designs, quality and assurance of designs. 
  • Responsible for managing and reporting on the delivery of design against the programme and budget
  • Ensuring that technically integrated solutions are produced
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations.
  • Lead design production and excellence within the discipline team
  • Lead innovative solutions to design coordination problems
  • Integrate with international technical networks in the delivery of designs.




  • Experience of managing the coordination of multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects 
  • Experience managing design delivery programme and to budget
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Working experience with ProjectWise and AutoCAD/MicroStation
  • Professional Institute membership ICE/IStructE/IMechE or equivalent mutual recognised industry qualification
