SYSTRA are looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high profile infrastructure projects such as HS2, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.

 

We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Environment team in either our Birmingham, Manchester or York offices, which is delivering consents for various infrastructure projects, including High Speed 2 main works, by recruiting an experienced Town Planner.

 

The ideal candidate will have more than two years post qualification town planning experience, preferably in the transportation of major infrastructure sectors.

Main Duties

 

  • Working efficiently as part of a team to secure planning permissions and statutory consents, preparing application documents
  • Working with key stakeholders including Local Authorities, statutory bodies and other transport authorities
  • Managing and coordinating specialist technical inputs into application packs
  • Provide technical guidance to discipline teams 
  • Develop innovative solutions to consent problems
  • Collaborate with international technical design teams in the delivery of consents.

 

Experience

 

  • Contribution to applications for statutory consents, preparing consent documents, working with Local Authorities, statutory bodies and other transport authorities
  • Experience of obtaining consents required to deliver planning, environmental and highway related consents 
  • Chartered Town Planner (RTPI)
