The Role

 

To assist Resident Engineer in all activities related to construction work.

 

Main Duties

 

  • To check setting out of the project.
  • Inspect the workmanship and check compliance with the specifications.
  • To approve or disapprove the contractor’s plant and equipment.
  • To check/monitor the progress of the work and suggest corrective measures.
  • Monitor the contractor's culverts & bridge construction, rehabilitation and repair work.
  • To inspect the works, during the construction period and defects liability period.
  • To issue defects liability certificates.
  • To examine and attend the measurement of the completed works.
  • To check the contractors accounts, invoices, and other statements.
  • To supervise the contractors' work related to safety.
  • To verify the as-built drawing, supplied by the contractors.
  • To carry out periodic review of contractor's resources vis-à-vis work program.

 

Experience

 

  • He should be Graduate in Civil Engineering.
  • He should have minimum 15 years of total professional experience.
  • He should have at least 5 years of experience as DRE/ARE/HE on road/highway projects
  • He should have experience in externally aided projects.
  • He should be familiar with Implementation of Environment Management Plans.
