MISSIONS:

Based in Dubai in the Client’s office, he/she will report to the Project Director for the specific project assignment.

SYSTRA has been appointed to perform project management services to manage the vendors in charge of upgrading / replacing of a Card Based Ticketing system into an Account Based Ticketing system. The Project Manager will be leading Systra services for the par that is related to the public transport operator level (ticket vending machines, validators etc) for several transportation systems (bus, metro, tram etc).

  • Lead end to end program management of the ABT implementation projects/contracts for level 1 systems.
  • Supervise the delivery of the projects in compliance with Client’s requirements and contracts.
  • Actively contribute to successful delivery of the projects, leadership in managing vendors and advising the client.
  • Manage integration of ticketing systems to overall programme implementation with the project for ABT implementation of central system.
  • Support client during tender stage for selecting vendors.
  • Review and validate technical design approach, feasibility and deliverables for projects.
  • Perform testing supervision activities as required.
  • Installation supervision.
  • Manage, review, and recommend Take Over Certification to client.
  • Perform post launch supervision activities as required
  • Support client on technical and business subjects (obsolescence, strategy).
  • Coordination with stakeholders.
  • Manage of the project dedicated and supporting technical team (>4).
  • Lead project meetings with the client and / or vendors as required.
  • Support the Project Director in the preparation of project status reports and materials for Executive review meetings.

 

PROFILE:

  • Master of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree is essential.
  • Professional certifications and memberships in relevant engineering associations and project management are a plus.
  • A good working background Ticketing industry in developed Countries is essential, min 12 years. Experience acquired as positions for vendors or client’s consultancy services alike.
  • Proven experience of project manager in Ticketing projects, managing technical teams, direct representative to client, at design to Commissioning stages, min 5 years' experience.
  • Involvement on project for upgrading/migrating existing AFC systems is a plus (CBT to CBT, CBT to ABT).
  • Knowledge or Dubai RTA ticketing system is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands on experience on Ticketing and Automatic Fare Collection
  • Technical knowledge of ABT technology, and open loop, card-based ticketing, QR code.
  • Strong management experience in the implementation of Ticketing Systems across transport networks
  • At least 8 years of full lifecycle Project Management in a Systems Integration environment
  • Management of multiple vendors deliveries.
  • Managed projects requiring compliance with PCI standards.
  • Experience with Project Management tools including scheduling, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Fluent in English
  • Solution oriented and customer focussed.
  • Abiltiy to drive discussions and guide professionals into a solution-oriented direction.
  • Ability to work well in a multicultural team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage large complex systems.
  • Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in approach to work.
