Health & Safety Environment Manager

Ensure the security, health and safety of SYSTRA employees, in coordination with the Project Management team

Ensure that the hazards & risks to personnel, the environment and to the field assets are as low as is reasonably practicable;

Promote SYSTRA’s HSS culture;

Guarantee the compliance with SYSTRA Health & Safety Management Plan by working closely with the Management Team and providing contribution for improvements

Promote “0 Accidents” culture


  • Job Reports to: Project Manager but Coordination with the Construction Team is a must


The missions:

  • Play a leading role in promoting H&S best practices;
  • Analyze and Approve all Contractor’s H&S Documentation and ensuring that these are effectively applied on site, with the support of Systra’s Construction Team;
  • Monitor HSS Contractor’s Management System by undertaking periodic H&S audits and regular workplaces inspections;
  • Ensuring Record Keeping of all H&S related documents and Ensuring that these are made available to the all Systra team;
  • Analyze Project work packages to determine any activity that possesses significant risk.
  • Monitor Key HSS Indicators and monitor and record H&S incidents;
  • Insure H&S conditions in Systra’s office;
  • Keep updated the SYSTRA HSE Management Plan;
  • Promote regular H&S Meetings with the Contractor and internally with the Team and preparing and distributing the MoM;
  • Promote HSS awareness training and Office Employee H&S Orientation Program;
  • Ensure that the relevant safety equipment (personal and collective) is provided where appropriate including arrangements for training and maintenance.
  • Promote induction training, identify relevant H&S training needs for Staff and provide arrangements to meet these needs


  • 15 years of experience
  • Level: engineering degree
  • Mandatory rail experience
  • International environment asset




• Ability to communicate

• Ability to open to the novelty

• Ability to adapt to context and change

• Good knowledge of Office (word, excel, outlook, Visio..)

• Good English skills (written and spoken)
