Main duties

 

Financial Aspect

 

•    Oversee overall financial management and performance of the business unit including, planning, systems and controls Lead Budget planning, monitor and control expenditure against budget, reduce cost through strict control on consumption.
•    Manages overall P&L for the business unit, Revenue margin, cash collections, order intake for the year
•    Presents new ideas and cash flow strategies to the management. 
•    Play a significant role in budget planning and proposing innovative modules for improving the bottom line. 
•    Accountable for the gross margin target across the region in conjunction with Business Area Directors and be responsible for profitability and positive cash flow of the organization.  

 

Strategic Aspect

 

•    Participates in developing and implementing a strategic business plan that supports the organization’s vision and goals; translates the strategic plan into actionable plan for the staff and ensure support and guidance in execution, modifies the plan in response to changing internal and external factors.
•    Assess and support production strategy and ensure deliveries through project and operations teams. 
•    Ensure Robust technical support for bidding and during various delivery phases. 
•    Diagnose business issues, design and implement solutions to address issues; participate in strategic initiatives/ performance improvement programs. 
•    Organise the monitoring and review process of the whole project portfolio of all projects, with a prime focus on risks and opportunities monitoring and gross margin delivery.
 

Organizational Aspect

 

•    Work in line with the management targeted goals to win and deliver Projects work across various domains within the business unit.
•    Understand Systra capabilities to deliver different Projects and assist in tailoring them to meet client requirements.
•    Build and maintain long-term relationships with local stakeholders, customers and partners
•    Technical resources dimensioning and staffing, implement optimum organisation structures.
•    Support, coach and mentor project managers in latest project management techniques and supporting them on their individual projects as and when requested basis.
•    Team up and coordinate with global teams involved in international bidding and Project delivery to ensure that Indian teams can be involved for design and delivery and other execution aspects.
•    Ensure compliance of the Systra Group policies, particularly on ethics, safety and adherence to Company ISO Standards.
 

Other degrees

 

Minimum Educational Qualification


•    B.E. / B. Tech or equivalent in relevant field
•    M.E. / M. Tech
•    Industry certifications such as PMP, CAPM, PgMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP preferred

 

Minimum Work Experience


•    At least 25 years’ experience in large scale project management at Indian or international Rail and Metro projects with significant exposure to one or more of the following areas:
Project organization
o    Project planning and control
o    Project management systems
o    Risk governance
o    Engineering and document management

•    Familiarity with leading products and/or tools in design, project management, scheduling and control 
•    Strong project management skills and demonstrated experience in managing teams across functions and geographies
•    Exposure to working in globally distributed workforce environment including offshore model
