Systra India's Infrastructure design vertical is the leading design team for metros in India, with 300 plus stations being designed currently. The team has designed over 500 kms of viaduct along with 60 kms of tunnels and 50 underground stations. We are also very proud to have designed the first monopile in India for the Mumbai Coastal project. We have the distinction of designing the fastest implemented metro project in the country with Lucknow and now have broken the record in Kanpur Metro. Apart from Indian projects the team also provides design services to projects as far as Philippines in the east to Columbia in the West.

 

 

The Role

We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in our Faridabad office by recruiting an experienced BIM Coordinator within our HS2 design team. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic BIM Specialist to further their career in a highly motivated and inspirational environment.

 

Main Duties

The key responsibility for the BIM Coordinator role is to support the BIM Manager and Discipline Lead to execute the day-to-day development, establishment and implementation of BIM in our Birmingham Office specifically for our Environmental team, supporting across Landscape, Noise & Vibration and River Modelling. The BIM Coordinator is required to possess strong computer CAD/BIM and technical skills, quality checking and control, coordination and constructability analysis.

 

  • Support the Discipline Lead, BIM Manager and Production Team(s) in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.
  • Provide progress and performance updates to Discipline Lead and BIM Manager on fortnightly and monthly basis.
  • Record, store and maintain all formal correspondences related to BIM activities.
  • Support the deployment (hardware and software) and provide hands-on BIM software training for Project team members.
  • Develop and maintain object libraries and catalogues.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Control templates following the organization's quality procedures and the project's BIM methods and standards.
  • Measure and ensure the quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards and requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance and control checks on model(s) to confirm geometrical and non-geometrical information compliance with the Project requirements.
  • Validate and export model geometry and data to schedules for design and commercial activities.
  • Export, federate, perform clash detection and provide visual walkthroughs of models
  • Review, monitor and report on the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models.
  • Prepare models and reports for value engineering and constructability analysis 

 

Experience

  • Degree in a relevant subject (Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management)
  • Experience within Design or Construction on infrastructure projects
  • Experience within 3D Modelling and Drafting, BIM Modelling/Coordination with Utilities Design experience
  • Experience of 5 to 10 years is must
  • Knowledge of multi-disciplinary Design workflows and understanding of 3D coordination process.
  • Experience with International and/or British BIM Standards.
  • Experience of using Bentley Open Roads.
  • Proficient in a range of authoring, scripting, design review, coordination, simulations and collaboration applications.
  • Possess the ability to develop analytical reports and presentations
