Resident Engineer

 

The Role

 

He shall be the in-charge of the construction project stretch and shall coordinate with all other experts of the construction projects and shall report to the Team Leader and Officers of PIU as per the delegation established.

 

Main Duties

 

  • Report to Team Leader on a day to day basis regarding progress of work.
  • In-charge of respective contracts supervision and co ordinate with concerned site supervision team members.
  • Coordinate the work of field teams in supervising and certifying that construction follows contract conditions.
  • Advise the TL on Contractors’ compliance or non-compliance to pavement design specifications and construction method.
  • Control compliance by Contractors of road safety plan to avoid damage to persons or property on initial stage and during road construction.

 

Experience

 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • He should have minimum 15 years of professional experience.
  • He should have 4 years of experience as Resident Engineer or equivalent on similar construction work at least in two different countries.
  • He should have four years’ experience with internationally lending agencies funded road ICB projects constructed using the FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
  • He should familiar with implementation aspects of Environmental Management Plans.
