Senior Construction Safety Specialist
The Role
He shall inspect all the Contractor(s) safety measures for construction work.
Main Duties
- Co-ordinate with the Safety Officers of the contractors and formulate site safety guidelines & prepare checklist for safety auditing
- Review the work zone (including work site, plant site and contractor operated quarry locations) safety plan and ensure compliance
- Ensure adequacy of safety devices for workers at construction zone/plant sites and proper maintenance of the devices
- Carryout routine safety audit during the construction period
Experience
- He should be graduate in Civil Engineering.
- Post graduate qualification in Industrial and Construction safety.
- OSHAS certification will be mandatory.
- He should have minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
- At least 5 years at a road / bridge construction site in the capacity of a safety engineer
- Experience in working on height / deep foundations and live traffic situation and imparting safety training to construction managers and workers will be highly desirable.
