For one of these projects, we are currently looking for a Contract Manager.

 

MISSIONS

 

The Contract Manager protects the client's interest throughout the project in administrating the EPC Contract between SYSTRA's client and the construction & equipment contractor. It includes, but not limited to

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Administration of an EPC Contract (FIDIC Silver book)
  • Management of all contractual issues in close collaboration with the Project Director
  • Employer’s Requirements follow-up
  • Project Risks Management
  • Interim Payment Certificates
  • Variation Orders issuance
  • Variation Orders Request Management
  • Dispute and Contractor’s Claims Management
  • Contractual Recommendations to the Employer (in case of Amendment to the EPC Contract)
  • Propose an analysis of contract risks.
  • Manage the flow of information, to organize exchanges and keep a record of all events.
  • Monitor and lead contract, ensuring that activities comply completely with contracted commitments.
  • Provide regular training to Systra Team regarding Systra Scope of Works in a FIDIC Silver book context.

 

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

 

BACKGROUND :

 
  •  BSc or Master’s qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in contract administration
  • Experience in African countries appreciated
  • Experience within railway systems is an added advantage

 

COMPETENCES

 
  • Strong background in contract administration principles, as well as some exposure to contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of FIDIC
  • Knowledge of general principles of contract law
  • Fluent in English
