We currently have an immediate opportunity for an exceptional Graduate to join our Public Transport Modelling team in the Consultancy business as an Assistant Consultant. The role will be based in our London offices with initial flexibility to work from home, focussing on demanding and innovative projects delivering to our strategic client base.The primary role of an Assistant Consultant is to support the safe delivery of work packages and small projects and proposal development.


The main duties are to:


  • Develop and apply models to assist our clients to develop transport options to economic, environmental, safety and other policy aims
  • Develop spreadsheet models
  • Interpret model results
  • Report analysis to clients verbally and in writing
  • Support proposal development and deliver work‐packages within projects
  • Execute tasks to quality, time and budget
  • Record and present information clearly
  • Demonstrate basic proficiency in the application of a range of methods, techniques and tools
  • Identify key facts in straightforward data, evaluate them and their sources to draw basic conclusions.
  • Recognise patterns and trends and demonstrate knowledge of various survey techniques

Experience required:


  • Undergraduate degree in a highly numerate subject, or masters degree in transport planning with a significant component of transport modelling
  • Numeracy
  • Working with complex datasets
  • Interest in transport modelling, or other types of mathematical modelling
  • Computer skills including some of the following:
  1. Spreadsheets
  2. Databases
  3. Programming / coding
  4. Statistical analysis packages
