We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in London, by recruiting an experienced BIM Administrator.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

The role

 

To support the administration of all project BIM requirements.

 

Main Duties

 

 

  • Ensure system status is monitored. Any issues to be resolved with the supplier’s nominated contact and tech support teams
  • Liaise with project manager and package managers and engineers to look ahead and plan new users to be onboarded
  • Assist the Project in new users onboarding and track/record attendance in liaison with the CDE administration teams
  • Assist the Information Management team in developing and deploying the Data model
  • Assist the BIM Manager with the operation of the Digital Field Systems
  • Monitor the subcontractors use of project information management system tools to ensure compliance with the BBVS processes
  • Assess supply chain working methodologies for digital production
  • Assist the information management team in data conversion, extraction, storage
  • Assist BIM manager in feeding data into and extracting from the information management platform(s)
  • Supply chain compliance and progress tracking against project IM requirements
  • Acting as BIM information manager on projects to comply with PAS 1192-2:2013 requirements imposed by client under BIM level 2 requirements.
  • Support the Project Team in the delivery of Graphical (models/drawings) and Non-Graphical (data) in line with the BEP and client requirements
  • Inform the process of progressing the PIM into an as-built model with data attached to it for future operations and maintenance where required
  • Support with educating the Project Team and Supply Chain members for the use and development of the Project Information Model providing both Graphical and Non-Graphical information.
  • Deliver training and support to the JV and supply chain for their given BIM specialism
  • Be familiar in the use of 4D simulation software and extrapolating 5D quantities take-off from models.

 

 

 

Experience

 

  • Relevant degree/qualification or qualified by experience with an understanding and proven delivery of infrastructure or Building managing multiple processes / schemes
  • Understanding BIM Level 2 Standards and Protocols (BS + PAS + ISO19650)
  • Experience in design review process, model management, BIM clash detection meeting and manage results to resolution
  • Working knowledge of project CDE environments
  • Manage and maintain the project BEP and other associated documents
  • Review and manage supply chain BEP compliance.
  • Identifying the basic requirements and main deliverables expected from BIM tools and workflows
  • Good understanding of Design, Construction, Surveying and Asset Management 
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering a high-quality product to tight deadlines
  • Primary Software Skills in Model Authoring. Relative to Project Requirements
  • Bentley Systems application and CDE experience
