SYSTRA are looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high profile infrastructure projects such as HS2 and Trans-Pennine Upgrade, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.
We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in London, by recruiting an experienced Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manager.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

The role
Working to improve health & wellbeing performance within the project team and contractors in relation to Occupational Health and achieve a transformational approach.
The post-holder is to provide supporting advice to the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing and the project in relation to Occupational Health, Occupational hygiene, and Wellbeing.
Main duties
• Develop the Occupational Health strategy and health management plan that raises the bar on the current industry best practice.
• Implementing the Occupational Health Strategy and assuring compliance with the works information and best practice.
• Undertake or advise on Health Risk Assessments where required.
• Develop engaging educational initiatives and campaigns that meet transformational aspirations.
• Engage in Mates in Mind and other industry leading groups to the benefit of the project
• Co-ordinate and administer a health & wellbeing forum and other health related meetings and forums.
• Assist in incident investigations for the project
• Contract management of Occupational Health and Hygiene Services
• Support Occupational Health matter in relation to employees
• Ensure a system in place for DSE Assessments, develop the health and wellbeing programme
• Develop and deliver the specific Occupational health awareness and health risk management training.
• Plan, design and deliver wellbeing events and briefings
• Develop and implement a stress management programme.
• Undertake Assurance activities including compliance of the supply chain with the health management plan
• Undertake monthly reporting activities
• Provide guidance and support to staff and the supply chain on occupational health matters
• Lead on health-related design interventions.
• Attend and participate in the HS2 Health Leadership forum
• Collect evidence for and complete HS2 Health Performance Indicators (HPIs) every 3 months
Experience
- Doctor or Registered General Nurse qualified in occupational health
- Experience working within industrial or Construction sectors in Occupational Health
- Ideally have a good understanding of process and procedures required to deliver a large-scale civil engineering rail project and how these should be applied within the digital context
