We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in London, by recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

The role

 

To assist in the improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure that efficient processes and procedures are implemented across the project and into the supply chain. Work with the IMS Manager to identify and deliver performance improvement initiatives.

 

 

Main Duties

 

 

  • Support development, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Provide appropriate and proactive support for the project team, subcontractors, and others to ensure that working practices are effective, efficient and improving.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge of the relevant processes and procedures in the IMS
  • Actively participate in formal review and improvement of the IMS
  • Assist in the delivery of business improvement training and the facilitation of workshops
  • Assist with the development and deployment of digital field tools that improve efficiency in managing information
  • Assist with appropriate project reporting
  • Provide input as appropriate for systems used to monitor and report performance and measure / monitor effectiveness / efficiency
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining the audit schedule and undertaking audits and surveillances (including producing reports and supporting close out of findings)
  • Support the IMS Manager in dealing with external auditing governing bodies to maintain relevant certification
  • Assist with investigations, with respect to quality incidents, to determine the facts and root causes including issuing reports and associated recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with others to drive a digital agenda, promote innovation, and share / implement best practice
  • Support and help maintain the systems of self-certification and progressive assurance for the project including benchmarking, inspection, and documentation
  • Deputise for the IMS Manager when required

 

 

Experience

 

  • Self-confident with the ability to build strong relationships with the project team members, suppliers, client representatives, and other stakeholders
  • Substantial practical experience of quality assurance and control in a relevant business environment
  • Ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts, make appropriate judgements, and act accordingly without undue delay
  • Pays attention to detail and sees thing through to completion
  • Can demonstrate initiative and resilience
  • Acts professionally both independently and collaboratively with others
  • Has an enquiring and questioning approach to audit work, ideally have experience with ISO 9001.
  • Use of Word and Excel to an intermediate level (demonstrate in a skills test)
  • An aptitude for IT deployment
