We’re looking for a new Senior Rail and Transit Signals Designer in our Signals and Train Control group to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them.
As a SYSTRA US Senior Rail and Transit Signals Designer, you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce and participate in designing hardware circuit plans for transit and rail projects of various levels of complexity with little to no supervision
- Produce construction site plans for transit and rail projects of various levels of complexity
- Assist in the development of detailed construction drawings for signal projects
- Develop software for wayside and interlocking microprocessors
- Analyze and review the design and construction drawing requirements to ensure a match with customer's specifications

Required Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of signaling principles pertaining to automatic and cab signaling systems
- In-depth understanding of Boolean algebra as it pertains to signal application logic programs
- 10-20 years of experience in a railroad signals environment
- Knowledge of Positive Train Control (PTC) systems and associated federal regulations
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience performing Signal System design
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS or MS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering/Engineering Technology
- Direct Signal System experience working at a rail or transit agency
- Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain a license
- Project Management Profession (PMP) certification

Salary Range: $130,000 - $180,000/Year DOE
