We currently have an opportunity for a qualified and highly experienced Finance professional to join our busy UK finance team as Divisional Finance Director. The opportunity could be Manchester, York or Birmingham based, with financial ownership of our high performing Engineering division. The role will operate in a true business partner capacity with the Managing Director for Engineering, whilst driving forward consistency across 3 business areas in conjunction with global business directives.

 

The Divisional Finance Director will have full ownership of the financial management of the Engineering division including:

Main Duties

  • Liaison with the CFO to ensure strong financial reporting and control over the Systra Engineering business, aligning with Systra UK policies, processes and targets
  • Working with Systra UK to improve financial information in to the Systra UK business
  • Work as financial lead on the Systra Engineering business providing guidance to the wider finance team
  • Completion and ownership of the financial bid models and support documentation
  • Provide financial ownership of the Systra Engineering key reporting submissions
  • Liaison with joint ventures
  • Financial ownership of large international projects, including liaison with international resource centres
  • Preparation and completion of the statutory accounts for three statutory entities
  • Work with Finance organisation to develop a single set of methodologies and processes
  • Supporting the governance requirements in accordance with the Group policies & procedures
  • Support and training to the Systra Finance team in the Engineering business unit

 

Experience Required

  • Extensive Financial Management experience from a large complex organisation within the Engineering or Construction industries – preferably design consultancy focussed
  • Financial management of large, international projects
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a project driven environment
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with significant experience working at a senior business partner level
  • Significant forecasting, reporting, budgeting and project accounting experience
  • A tenacious, resilient, self-starting problem solver who is keen to drive change and process improvement
  • People and relationship management skills with the understanding of a client relationship driven organisation
