SYSTRA Canada is looking for a System Integration Manager who will focus on managing the following tasks:

Oversee the System Integration activities in the projects in charge;

 

  • Act as the Advisor Team Leader & prime point of contact for all activities related to the integration of the systems;
  • Help building the foundations of a strong system integration group;
  • Responsible for the technical excellence of the engineering functions of the project, including coordination of technical disciplines, quality of designs and adherence to schedule;
  • Participate in the requirements, interfaces, change, configuration Committees;
  • Chair Internal Interface review meetings;
  • Capture, review, cascade Technical requirements and ensure the RAMS targets are achieved;
  • Manage the Systems Documentation reviews;
  • Chair System Integration Risk reviews;
  • Manage the interface points between system suppliers and the client and the integration between different systems and with existing environment; 
  • Manages the successful delivery of mandatory project’s outputs;
  • Prepare, monitor and potentially lead Test & Commissioning activities;
  • Engage in the Testing and Commissioning at key stages of interface development and requirements management to meet testing objectives;
  • Interface with the SYSTRA international system group.
     

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, electrical, telecom engineering or related fields;
  • At least 15 years of systems integration experience in the rail industry, defense or aeronautics, with pre-existing experience leading a large project as a Systems Manager;
  • Solid experience in designing, constructing and/or maintaining complex systems (in rail, defense or aeronautics)) with progressive responsibility in project management;
  • Knowledge and skills pertaining to leadership and management practices, business planning, project management and working in a team-based work force as a prime point of contact on a complex project;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and evaluate and recommend effective solutions to technical design in a tactful manner;
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, including technical communication, report writing and presentations;
  • Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or eligible for membership;
  • Systems engineering experience in the rail industry is a plus, particularly in design & build project;
  • Experience in Rail Transit construction and Implementation is a plus; 
  • Knowledge of railway construction/maintenance/inspection practises is a plus;
