Role and responsibilities

You will be working as a Financial Analyst at SYSTRA Canada. This entry-level position will allow you to learn the accounting and finance functions of a large company and to actively participate in all stages of the financial cycle. You will report to the Financial Controller and the Vice President, Finance.

As a Financial Analyst, you will contribute to the improvement of the company's profitability by providing accurate reporting, analysis of financial data and financial projections.

Monthly closings, budgets and budget reviews

  • Participate in month-end activities, analysis and budget exercises
  • Participate in the production of monthly and annual financial reports
  • Coordinate the preparation of cost centre budgets, analyse variances and carry out budget monitoring
  • Responsible for follow-up with group stakeholders and reconciliation of inter-cos expenses and revenues on a monthly basis.


  • Monitoring of cash flow and active participation in cash flow estimates related to operations and projects
  • Prepare calculations of currency hedges to be taken by project
  • Produce and analyse monthly cash flow reports
  • Analysis of the net exposure of the different projects
  • Responsible for virtual card payments and management of corporate credit card users
  • Prepare and participate in accounts receivable follow-up meetings


Commercial offers

  • Validation of budgets established by the operational teams for commercial offers
  • Responsible for the financial quotation tool


Ad hoc

  • Participation in special projects, preparation of ad hoc reports and other tasks related to the area of expertise



Education: Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance

Years of experience: 1 to 4 years of experience in similar positions

Technical competencies:

  • CPA designation or in the process of obtaining it
  • Excellent command of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in French (spoken, read and written)
  • Fluency in English (spoken, read and written) is an asset
  • Experience in the field of transportation is an asset

  • Ability to work in a team in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Ability to organize and plan work
  • Methodical, rigorous and proactive
