Job Purpose

The Scheduler is responsible for creating schedules for the project: baseline, revised, monthly follow-up. They create the schedule and work with project’s stakeholders (engineering/supply chain/project manager/subcontractors) on delivery commitments. They are responsible for executing the order planning process.


Key Job Elements

  • Create master schedule using input from project’s stakeholders and reviewing data from capacity planning and on-time-delivery performance;
  • Create details for need dates for various components for use other master schedulers;
  • Coach and provide scheduling direction to all project’s stakeholders;
  • Responsible for daily tracking of project progress to schedule;
  • Prepare metrics and reports (earn value) to present the schedule to various audiences;
  • Prepare reports and run various meetings;
  • Create manpower and cycle time for operations management;
  • Coordinate information and activities to ensure customers' requirement dates are understood and reflected accurately in schedules;
  • Communicate order status to Program Managers & Engineering team for specific orders;
  • Produce 3 weeks schedule for project team
  • Take on special projects as assigned.


 Education / Training

  • University degree;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the execution of construction projects;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS-Project and Pimavera (mandatory) P6, including resources upload;
  • Ease in the analysis of project financial data

Desirable qualifications

  • Certificate of competence in Primavera and Ms Project


Qualifications and Experience

  • 10 to 15 years in operations, production planning
  • High degree of proficiency with spreadsheets and enterprise wide software applications;
  • Outstanding attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines;
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English and French, must be able to effectively communicate with multiple levels of staff;
  • Must have effective analytical ability
