Structural Design Engineer

We’re looking for a new Structural Design Engineer in our Infrastructure group to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them. 

As a SYSTRA US Structural Design Engineer, you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and prepare engineering drawings for civil and structural engineering specific projects or as part of larger multiple specialty projects
• Coordinate the structural work with other disciplines including architecture, mechanical, electrical, communications, surveying, site assessment and testing and probes
• Attend field meetings and site walkthroughs to review project conditions and design objectives
• Prepare specifications and verify cost estimates
• Participate in the design review process
• Prepare bid documents and assist with bid packages

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Minimum 5-8 years of building and vertical structural design experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
• Possession of valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SpecLink
• MicroStation proficiency
• Building structures design experience
• PE
• Advanced degree(s)

Salary Range:  $90,000-115,000
