Role:                    Resident Engineer/Project Manager – Construction Management Sector

 

Location:             NYC Metro Area

                            

 

Travel:                 10%

 

Education &

Experience:         

 

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field of engineering from an accredited college/university

 

    • 15+ years of successful experience with emphasis on transit and transit related infrastructure/stations work as a Resident Engineer or PM on Design-Bid Build and Design Build projects

 

    • Experience in mass transit and rail systems.  MTA NYCT, MNR, LIRR/NJT stations/state of good repair work experience is highly desired

 

 

Certification(s):

 

    • CCM Certification required or ability to obtain in lieu of PE Registration (Preferred)

The Role

 

As a SYSTRA USA Resident Engineer/Project Manager, you will oversee all construction activities for assigned projects. This includes:

 

  • Coordinating, organizing. and maintaining all contractor and SMI Meeting Minutes

 

  • Coordinating and tracking of critical and hot issues. Update our client on the status

 

  • Expediting the resolution of all open critical and hot issues and high priority issues from contractor and SMI Meetings

 

  • Participating in Risk Assessments

 

  • Coordinating general contractor planned work with other entities. Review scheduled construction work

 

  • Coordinating with NYCT Architect, NYCT Design team and Contractor in the field for mockup approval and to resolve issues RFI/ Contract Waiver Requests etc.

 

  • Coordinating track warranty certificates and repairs

 

  • Managing RFI, correspondence, NCRs, and submittals (coordination, tracking, processing, and logs)

 

  • Generating associated correspondence

 

  • Coordinating Designer of Record

 

  • Reviewing contractor's daily reports and as-built drawings

 

  • Managing O&Ms

 

  • Coordinating vendor training

 

  • Arranging inspectors for factory acceptance tests, field physical inspections of equipment, and special inspections

 

  • Collaborating with city agencies like DOT. DEP for permits and other utility issues
