The Systems Integrator will define and supervise the system integration framework for the CBTC projects he is assigned to, based on industry best practices, standards and SYSTRA system engineering methodology. He will be responsible for the daily execution of project tasks regarding interface management, requirements management and change management supporting the PM, CBTC System Lead and T&C Manager. The Systems Integrator will work closely with the client project team and supervise the systems integration of the CBTC contractors and suppliers to comply with project requirements and objectives on time and on budget.


The Systems Integrator will plan and develop CBTC systems integration plans on projects concerned with unique and complex problems that have an important effect on major client organization programs. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approaches. In doing so he will liaise with individuals and units within or outside his/her organization with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to this field



1. Ensure the project objectives are communicated to the team and to monitor that all activities are correctly directed towards fulfilment of the objectives according to time plan.

2. Coordination of CBTC system integration requirement activities and change management.

3. Ensure that subsystems interfaces are clearly identified, documented, agreed and managed.

4. Define and supervise the system integration plan and ensure the integration activities such as interface management, requirements management and change management are implemented and monitored according to project activities and indicators.

5. Ensure engineers/designers are following and carrying out work under correct and relevant federal, state, local, and industry standards.

6. Enforce QA/QC policies for his assigned scope of work and identify possible quality and safety issues within the scope of the project in order to fulfill project-related contractual requirements.

7. Work with other team members or, as individual researcher and consultant, may be assisted on individual projects by other engineers and technicians.

8. Share business intelligence and resources with sector manager and staff to facilitate new project and market development nationwide.

9. Participate in developing proposals, including technical design and cost estimates and participate in client presentations to secure new work.

10. Share resources and intelligence with SYSTRA, S.A. partner to facilitate synergy and new project and market development worldwide.

11. Actively maintain proficiency and develop knowledge in areas of expertise.

12. Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally to all SYSTRA office locations, including project offices, and contractors and suppliers’ offices and factories, if applicable

Organizational relationships:

1. Accountable for all phases of activities to the Project Manager of project assigned and to Systems Sector Leader

2. Consults and coordinates with:

  • All emplyees assigned to the sector and other disciplines as required.
  • Other Systems Engineers and Managers t coordinate multi-discipline projects and exchange intelligence about clients and competitors.
  • Peer level emplyees of clients, teaming partners, competitors, SYSTRA, S.A. and its subsidiaries, vendors, brokers, and others as may be required to conduct the company’s business.



1. 8 to 10 years of experience of similar work.

2. Technical understanding of railway CBTC signaling.

3. Project management experience from the railway and industry are a plus but not a must.

4. Very good communication skills in English

5. Experience working in an international matrix organization, it is an advantage.



1. BS or MS in relevant Engineering field

2. PE License in relevant state (mainly NY; CA) - desirable

3. CSEP, CISSP, CCNA, SSCP, or other applicable certifications - desirable

4. Leadership role or membership in a relevant professional organization - desirable
