Role:                     Corrosion Engineer (Multiple Levels)

Location:              Remote US (East Coast Preferred)

Travel:                  20% (US Major Metro Areas)

Education:           Bachelor of Science - Engineering (ABET Accredited Program)

Certification:       Cathodic Protection 4 – CP4 Specialist Certification (Required)

            Professional Engineering License - PE (Preferred)

Experience:          5-15+ (Depending on role)

As a SYSTRA US Corrosion Engineer, you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters, and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget. In this role, you will shape all aspects of the department, both tactical and strategic. You will be instrumental in building strong and effective customer relationships while driving new business.

In this role, you will utilize your keen sense of urgency, attention to detail, and considerable experience partnering with high-performing internal and external teams on designing, installing, testing, and commissioning electrified railroad projects. You will utilize your robust project management skillset, including setting project scope, schedule, budget, and reporting. Your excellent verbal communication and strong technical writing skills will support you in articulating program plans and findings.

You will perform field tests and site investigations in high-voltage substations and along electrified railroads while applying your well-rounded knowledge and experience across all areas of corrosion engineering. Your experience with stray current management, corrosion and grounding as well as your expertise with developing design drawings and documents, technical specifications, test plans, reports, studies, proposals and calculations will be well utilized for highly impactful client projects. You will also serve as a thought partner, SME, and trusted advisor to peers, clients, and the business.

Our more advanced corrosion engineering roles will involve leading other engineers, designers, and drafters while owning overall responsibility for project quality, execution, and client interface. In these roles, you will utilize your strong understanding of best-in-class processes for building, implementing, and operationalizing an engineering function in a high-growth environment. Your experience as a collaborative leader in a distributed, multi-location environment will be called upon as you drive impact without face-to-face interaction. And your strong belief in the development and education of your team will be evident as you build, implement and refine a high-performing knowledge base of industry standards associated with corrosion, stray current, and grounding, including but not limited to NACE.
