We’re looking for a new Principal in our Architecture + Engineering group to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them.
As a SYSTRA US Principal you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the SYSTRA architectural team in Newark, NJ
- Manage teams to deliver high quality projects, on budget and achieve financial objectives
- Control and uphold standards of quality, perform as Architect of Record (AoR) and assure client satisfaction
- Lead and participate in Business Development (BD) and Client Relations Management (CRM)
- Mentor, teach and develop junior staff members

Required Qualifications:
- Registered architect in New York and or New Jersey, have an NCARB file to facilitating reciprocity in other states
- Minimum of 15 years architecture design experience leading projects, teams, mentoring and all other applicable leadership tasks
- Experience with preparation, coordination of proposals and team engagement on department proposals
- Familiarity with the NY and NJ business architectural and engineering market and business agreements and contracts
- Strong understanding of NYC Department of Buildings filing process
- Ability to generate and direct others to generate, contract documents and complete Construction Administration (CA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- CAD and BIM production skills or strong understanding of guiding processes, procedures, and methodologies
- Attentive delivery experience / understanding
- Transportation, education and / or housing sector experience
- LEED and / or Envision Accredited Professional
