Over the past few years we have significantly increased our Consultancy business in the UK and Ireland and expanded our design services and market presence. We are now looking for an exceptional apprentice to join our existing degree apprentices gaining invaluable technical experience working in our Development Infrastructure team whilst we support you in working towards a BEng Civil Engineering degree (with 20% off the job time allocation for training / study during the apprenticeship) and provide excellent opportunities for career progression.  The successful candidate will study the Civil Engineer degree apprenticeship at Teesside University on a day-release basis.


Key Responsibilities:


As an apprentice you will be undertaking, with relevant support, the following duties


Project delivery – An awareness of business, client and end user needs throughout the project lifecycle. Plan and manage tasks, people and commercial budgets to deliver quality assured outputs on time and to client and industry specifications, standards and guidance.

Design – Define engineering and other constraints, identify risks and how these may be resolved through design. Develop safe and sustainable technical solutions and provide guidance to others by producing design models, calculations, reports and drawings, surveying a site, using applicable analysis and relevant codes.

Analysis – Identify and use applicable digital solutions, other data gathering tools and tests to solve technical problems. Evaluate the effectiveness of the analysis, refine as required, and apply to an integrated solution.

Construction – Determine construction methods and technical aspects of site activities. Identify and mitigate risk, develop and operate quality systems and health, safety and risk management procedures.


Role Requirements:




  • Meets degree course entry requirements.  Typically 96-112 UCAS points from any combination of recognised Level 3 qualifications including maths.  A-levels, BTECs, Access or equivalent UK and international qualifications are accepted.  Applicants qualified to at least BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) level, or equivalent, will be considered for direct entry to Year 2 of the academic course of study.

Salary c19k per annum, depending on existing skills/experience.
