Main duties
Under the Guidance and Supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel, the legal counsel missions will encompass a broad spectrum, primarily emphasizing contractual aspects and includes:
- Legal advice and analysis on a wide range of issues (mainly contractual and litigation) arising in US or Canada
- Advice on a variety of SYSTRA’s projects related contracts.
- Support in contractual negotiations with the client so that business requirements are met;
- Apprehend legal matters through risks identification and provide mitigation advice;
- Draft legal notices and lead the support towards management of dispute cases; or
- Provide legal training to Systra operational teams.

Legal Counsel

The Legal Counsel will assist the Senior Legal Counsel in providing commercial and legal counselling for SYSTRA Canada and US business units.
The Legal Counsel will be based in Paris. This internship opportunity is for 6 months starting in January 2024 in our Paris office.
She/he shall ensure that both legal support and policy are consistently and effectively deployed across the business, that contractual risks are under control and that SYSTRA’s operating needs are met.
Diploma
Master’s degree in law (Master 1 ou Master 2), specializing in Contracts law, Business law or Arbitration.

- Ability to learn and understand new requirements under various systems of laws. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to foresee and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
