Context
Following the new international organization of SYSTRA, a transverse department “Business Lines and Production” has been created with the main goal to support the international business growth. BLP has a “Technical Coordination & Delivery” team which manages Digital Engineering operationally on railway infrastructure projects with the different entities of the Systra Group, and its objective is:
- Organization of the production scheme involving several engineering centers ;
- Support for engineering centers to adapt their development within the Group ;
- Project processes set-up and verification of their application ;
- Production of deliverables according to the standards of the country where the project is located.
Main duties
The GIS engineer is part of the “Technical Coordination & Delivery” team. He/She reports operationally to the SIG Manager, his/her missions are :
- Participation in the definition of the GIS service offering (Geographic and Schematic) within the department ;
- Define the operational content of the project, such as :
- Clarify needs during the project preparation phase ;
- Describe the strategy and the necessary objectives through the establishment of project documents (plan and process) ;
- Data translation between CAD/GIS, export, translate and load (ETL) operations using FME and custom geoprocessing scripts ;
- Supervise the completion of projects and check the quality of deliverables ;
- Implementation of training adapted to the project needs ;
- Support to the SIG Manager, business managers and technical coordinators.
- Advanced skills with one or several GIS software programs, including scripting, programming, modeling and design :
- Ability to design and maintain GIS databases and other database formats such as Microsoft Access, SQL, dBase, etc. ;Ability to assess data anomalies, software issues and program design flaws with teams, and take appropriate action to make the project work ;Ability to document specific information about project data in the metadata file ;
- Ensure technological monitoring in the GIS field.

- Technical skills: experience in leading and carrying out GIS projects in railway infrastructure.
- Tools :
- GIS : ESRI (GeoBIM, Indoors), ArcGIS (dektop, mobile et server) et QGIS.
- ETL : FME, Talend.
- Good experience with CAD/BIM type Autodesk, Bentley…
- Spirit of synthesis, capacity for restitution, good communication and coordination skills.
- Language skills: Good English and French.
