CONTEXT :

 

Since the merger which occurred in 2012, Systra is aggressively growing at international level. In this context, the company is opening a place for internship within his French & international tax team.

 

We are looking for a trainee.

 

He/she will be working either under the supervision of the two tax experts or with the Group Tax Director.

 

MISSIONS :

 

More precisely, the trainee will be embedded within the group tax division and will participate to the various tasks assigned to it, i.e.:

·         Preparation on a weekly basis of tax analysis and structuring of Systra’s organization of its answers to request for proposal on international projects. As such, the trainee will be liaising with the various stakeholders in the business across various departments. The role will involve working closely with both bid teams, treasury and controlling group, legal, international mobility HR department and international tax advisors;

·         Supporting project managers through tax routine questions, tax review of international contracts, follow-up of local subsidiary or branch for tax purposes;

·         Participation to the coordination of tax audits abroad;

·         Providing punctual help on due diligence process through the acquisition process of new entities;

·         Participation to transversal projects (e.g. building of a training in tax for members of bid teams; topics related to accounting and VAT);

·         Providing assistance in the process of determining the yearly French R&D tax credit.

·         Assistance with French tax matters: determination of the taxable result of Systra SA; questions raised in the frame of the annual process of the closing of the accounts; question related to French VAT treatment.

 

REQUIRED PROFILE :

Qualifications of the trainee

·         Strong skills in French and English (speaking/reading/writing);

·         University degree or equivalent in French tax law (if master in business administration was obtained in addition to the university degree in tax law, this will be considered as a plus).

 

 

Personal skills of the trainee

·         Good skills in performing technical research in tax law;

·         Capacity to synthetize and explain the result of a research and how the trainee came to the conclusion;

·         Capacity to organize files containing technical researches;

·         Proactive;

·         Autonomous with capacity to take into account and quickly implement recommendations;

·         Curiosity and willingness to enlarge its tax skills;

·         Ease to interact with people from various departments;

·         Adaptable and flexible, with the desire to work across cultures and regions.

 

 

 

 

TYPE OF CONTRACT :

Internship

Opened as from January 1st, 2018

Duration :

4 to 6 months (6 month internship is the desired duration)

LOCATION :

Position is based in Systra HQ, 72, rue Henry Farman 75015 Paris, France

Compensation :

-          Gross monthly indemnity: Euro 1,350.00 for internships which lengths as from 3 to 6 months.

-          Full refund of transportation expenses.
