Resident Cum Bridge Engineer

The Role : 

Understanding the design provisions and review/checking of detailed design submitted by EPC contractor for cable stayed/extra dosed bridge. 
 

Main Duties:

• He is also required for checking of cable /reinforcement/cable laying operations, rectifying any apparent mistakes in respect of them, checking and controlling the proper mix designs, Checking the adequacy of proper form-work, laying/compacting of concrete including curing operations.
   
•  He should also be responsible for all fixing and erection of Bridge Health Monitoring System (BHMS) during construction and testing/inspection of cable stayed bridge portion as per International practice. 
• For this purpose, he will work in close coordination with Team Leader, Senior Quality cum Material Expert and the Contractor’s Project Managers/Engineers for effectively Control the quality of execution. He will be responsible for minor modifications in design of cable stayed bridge whenever required during execution. He should have the following qualification / experience. 

Essential Qualifications:

a) Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized University. 
b) Professional Experience of at least 10 years in design/construction /construction supervision of Bridge projects including Highways involving major bridges.
 c) 5 years of experience in construction/construction supervision of extra dosed / cable stayed bridge. 
d) Experience in Construction/Construction Supervision of at least one extra dosed / cable stayed bridge having at least 100 m span 
e) Experience in Construction/Construction Supervision of other major bridge having length of at least 1000m 
f) Experience in supervision of Rehabilitation and repair of at least one cable stayed/ Extra dozed / ROB/Flyover/Interchanges. 
g) Experience in supervision of construction /Rehabilitation and repair of at least one cable stayed/ Extra dozed in perennial deep river/sea. h) Experience in similar capacity of modern bridge construction technology viz., Precast Segmental, Balanced Cantilever Construction, Extra dosed Bridge, Full Span Launching, and Incremental Launching at least 1 project 
i) Not more than 65years of age
