We’re looking for a new Senior Director, Project Controls in our Operations Group to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them. 

 

As a SYSTRA US Senior Director, Project Controls you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and leadership in project controls for large-scale transportation projects, overseeing all aspects of project controls activities, including cost management, scheduling, risk management, and change management
  • Lead the development and implementation of project controls processes, systems, and tools, ensuring alignment with project objectives, and client requirements
  • Develop and implement standard project controls practices including scheduling manual, reporting manual, forms, and templates
  • Develop detailed daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of project schedules, including baseline schedules, progress updates, and critical path analyses, to monitor project progress, identify schedule variances, and mitigate schedule risks
  • Manage the development and maintenance of project budgets, including cost estimates, budget forecasts, and earned value analyses, to track project costs, monitor budget variances, and control project expenditures
  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to project teams, client representatives, and stakeholders on project controls matters, leveraging industry insights and best practices to drive project success
  • Establishes a project work breakdown structure in line with industry best practices.
  • Assists in creating detailed project budgets from estimates and in the development of cash flow projections
  • Manages internal job costing in relation to the fee and services to be provided, resources required and all project reporting including job number and other company reporting policies
  • Produces forecasts of total project costs, annual costs, and monthly cash flow costs and provides variance analysis and explanations
  • Works with senior management staff in managing the overall project cost control efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in technical engineering field
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience with project controls (cost management, schedule, document, etc.)
  • Proficiency in project control software and tools, including but not limited to Primavera P6
  • Experience in leading project controls activities for large-scale transportation projects
  • Excellent and articulate communication style and have clear and analytical approach to problem solving and strong decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or other advanced degree(s)

Salary Range:  $174,200-243,800
