We are currently seeking a BIM Lead (Railway) to join our team here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be part of the Engineering Services Design team overseeing a portfolio of railway related projects. 

 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Is responsible for enforcing the Digital Delivery strategy, championing innovation, providing advice and support to both the client and support chain regarding emerging technologies, asset performance and operations requirements.
  • The BIM Lead will be responsible for the development of the client BIM documentation (aligned with ISO19650), support chain assessment, mobilization and BIM kick-off meetings, work process maps and the compliance of Appointed Parties BIM documentation and other digital deliverables following client and international standards.
  • The BIM Lead will conduct BIM Coordination meetings, digital workshops, lessons learned, inter-disciplinary design checks and monitor and track implementation and performance via Power BI and other online tool 
  • Support the projects team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assess the current resources on current projects to ensure that they are sufficient to meet the project goals.
  • Communicates effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of ISO19650 and any applicable standards for clients.
  • Ensures security protocols have been followed for viewing and issuing of information on all projects.
  • Implements governance and assurance processes.
  • Monitors digital handover to completion.
  • Research compliance with new regulations and governance.
  • Responsible for object library development in alignment with wider BIM strategy.
  • Responsible for the assurance and checking of the information model.
  • Reviews current technology solutions and research new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies.
  • Supports construction sequencing strategy using information models. 
  • Provides training on using databases, analysing data, creating templates, conducting assurance, COBie production, and other BIM-related topics.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement plans/identifies key business improvement

Key Skills/Experience

  •  A relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Experience with recognised international consultancy organisation.
  • ISO19650
  • At least 10 Years of relevant experience
  • Experience with, but not limited to, de facto industry BIM and Engineering Systems tools such as:• Autodesk: Revit, Civil3D, Infraworks, Navisworks Manage, Revizto, ACC/BIM360• Bentley Systems: ProjectWise, AECOsim, OpenRoads, OpenBridges, Open Structures
  • Experience in Saudi or at least GCC Countries is a must
