We are currently seeking a Deputy Projects Delivery Director for a portfolio of mobility/railway projects here in Saudi Arabia.

 

S/he will provide direction and management for every phase of large projects or programs to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.

 

The Deputy Projects Delivery Director/ Construction Director must be capable of managing a portfolio of projects/ program. Prior experience must include significant project management or construction management assignments at the Construction Director level.

 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans, considering timelines, budget constraints, and resource allocation.
  • Creating strategies to ensure successful project delivery, meeting client requirements and industry standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their needs, expectations, and preferences.
  • Providing regular project updates and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the construction process.
  • Managing and leading a team of construction professionals, including project managers, engineers, and support staff.
  • Providing guidance, support, and training to ensure the team's success and adherence to project goals.
  • Developing and managing project budgets, ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Monitoring expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and maintaining financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilizing your consultancy background to provide technical expertise and guidance on complex construction issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Implementing quality control measures to ensure the highest standards in construction processes and final deliverables.
  • Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality concerns.
  • Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implementing risk management protocols to ensure the smooth progression of construction projects.
  • Facilitating effective communication between project teams, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with various departments within the organization to optimize project outcomes.

 

 

Person Specification:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
  • At least 15+years’ experience in delivering fully coordinated, multi-disciplinary projects in the capacity of Project Director
  • Successfully led numerous complexes, large scale projects across a range of clients and multi-disciplinary teams (mobility/rail projects).
  • Deep knowledge of design, implementation and maintenance of railway infrastructure.
  • Working for an international consultancy for around 15-20 years
  • Knowledge of local and national legislation and regulations relating to railways
  • Strong capacity to resolve conflicts and reach an agreement with external and internal stakeholders
  • Full professional proficiency in English (verbal and written, including technical writing)
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills and effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders
