We’re looking for a new Systems Engineering Lead in our Systems Group to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them.   

 

As a SYSTRA US Systems Engineering Lead you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the systems engineering team and ensuring the Contractor’s SE plans and processes and all CDRLS related to Systems Engineering work on the CBTC project are reviewed by the team the submission dispositioned along with the comments a required to the Contractor
  • Coordinate all systems engineering activities with other Working Group (WG), project management team, stakeholders and the contractor
  • Ensure that contractor is taking a streamlined/focused approach to implementing systems engineering on the CBTC project
  • Provide direction to the SE team regarding priorities and decision making
  • Act as the working group lead, providing direction to the contractor and provide guidance to technical management
  • Work with the team and the contractor to ensure that contract requirements are understood by all parties and documented in associated CDRLS, such as system and subsystem requirements documents
  • Work with the team and all parties to ensure traceability of requirements from the contract through the contractor’s plans, design documents, test procedures and safety certification documents
  • Oversee configuration management, V&V management, requirement management, system integration and change control
  • Oversee the implementation of the requirements management tool (DOORS) and ensure that the contractor’s database is incorporated into this tool
  • Coordinate and facilitate requirements reporting and metrics generation for all DSDC WGs
  • Develop presentations to report on contractor progress on SE activities and report to upper management on these activities
  • Monitor manufacturer’s progress toward acceptance of the final Design review gate
  • Oversight of manufacturer’s software development process and roadmap, ensure that this process is well documented and reflected in the schedule
  • Work with project control to review manufacturer’s monthly P6 Schedule and interface with other leads to ensure that monthly progress status is correct
  • Ensure that comments are added to the project records
  • Ensure that the P6 reflects an accurate plan to progress the work and that short-term activities are defined
  • Work with the engineering to process requirement changes

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum 10 (ten) years of experience in CBTC, Systems development lifecycle and leading systems engineering efforts on a complex rail systems project
  • Experience in the implementation of ISO15288, ISO29148, EN 50126 or similar systems engineering standards on complex rail systems project
  • Experience with requirements management and related tools, generating traceability in requirements management tool
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • High level of proficiency with MS-Office tool suite - prepare presentations, reports as needed
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Excellent planning and task coordination skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree(s)
  • Certification as INCOSE SE

Salary Range:  $174,200-218,400, DOE
