Required Education & Experience:                             


Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering discipline required


Five + years leading systems engineering efforts on a complex rail systems project.  This includes requirements management and related tools, experience with generating traceability and links to verification and validation evidence


Experience in the implementation of EN 50126 or similar systems engineering standards on complex rail systems project


Transit project experience is strongly preferred

The Role


As a SYSTRA USA CBTC SYSTEMS ENGINEERING LEAD, you will approve vendor SE plans, processes and all CDRLS related to the CBTC systems engineering project; You will be responsible for coordinating all systems engineering activities of the DSDC team which includes the client, vendor, stakeholders and project management.  As the project engineering lead, you will utilize your experience to ensure that vendor is taking a streamlined/focused approach to implementing systems engineering on the project; You will provide direction to the SE team regarding priorities and decision making;  In this role you will also act as the Working Group lead by providing direction to the vendor and guidance to DSDC Technical Management;  You will work with the vendor  and the DSDC team to ensure that contract requirements are understood by the vendot and documented in associated CDRLS System and subsystem requirements documents; Work with vendor and the DSDC team to ensure traceability of requirements from the contract through the vendor Plans, Design documents, test procedures and safety certification documents will be a key function for this role; You will oversee the Configuration Manager in coordination of Requirements Version and Change Control; You will oversee the implementation of the Visure ALM tool and ensure that the vendor DOORs database is incorporated into this tool;  You will coordinate and facilitate requirements reporting and metrics generation for all DSDC WGs and develop presentations to report on vendor progress on SE activities and report to upper management on these activities.
