SYSTRA USA is seeking a "Systems Engineering Working Group Lead", full time position, permanent position located in Oakland, CA

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for managing the Systems Engineering team assigned to CBTC  BART project.
  • Coordinate all systems engineering activities with project management team, BART stakeholders and the Contractor.
  • Ensure that contractor is taking a streamlined/focused approach to implementing systems engineering on the CBTC project.
  • Act as the BART SE Working Group lead, providing direction to the Contactor and provide guidance to Technical Management.
  • Work with the team and the Coordinator to ensure that Contract requirements are understood by all parties and documented in associated CDRLS, such as System and Subsystem requirements documents.
  • Oversee configuration management, V&V management, system integration and change control
  • Oversee the implementation of the requirements management tool (DOORS) and ensure that the Contractor's database is incorporated into this tool
  • Coordinate and facilitate requirements reporting and metrics generation for all DSDC WGs
  • Develop presentations to report on Contactor progress on SE activities

Skills/Knowledge Experience

  1. Minimum ten years experience in Systems development lifecycle and leading systems engineering efforts on complex rail systems project
  2. Experience in implementation of ISO15288, ISO29148, EN 50126 or similar systems engineering standards on complex rail systems project
  3. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related engineering discipline 
  4. Certification as INCOSE SE is preferred
  5. Certification as PMP is preferred
  6. Experience with management requirements, related tools, generating traceability in requirements management tool is required
  7. Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines
  8. High level of proficiency with MS-office tool suite-prepare presentations, reports as needed
