We currently have a number of Human Factor positions available for both Senior and Principal Consultants based in Sydney. At SYSTRA Scott Lister Group we provide comprehensive consultancy services to a variety of industry verticals with a focus on the Rail Transport sector. As part of SYSTRA's global footprint, we are constantly helping clients deliver complex engineering projects that require our consulting services & subject matter expertise. Reporting to Manager of Human Factors, the positions will be responsible for the provision of subject matter expertise and consulting services across Human Factors and safety management. Working closely with a variety of clients across the transport sector, the position will afford you the opportunity to apply your expertise across a variety of relative projects. This role will be part of a well-established, collaborative and respected team.

The role:

  • Provide a range of consulting services to clients, predominantly in the field of Human Factors & safety management.
  • Ensure the full management and delivery of projects, whilst ensuring the ongoing development and management of strategic client relationships.
  • Deliver support to Human Factors activities in other sectors and provide input to future tender submissions.
  • Promote the SYSTRA Scott Lister brand to help the team secure new business opportunities in existing projects and new ones.
  • Be a trusted contributor to project requirements, leveraging your knowledge from a Human Factors & safety management perspective.
  • Cross collaborate with team members to manage the minimisation of project risks and enhance the positive integration/delivery of SYSTRA Scott Lister services.

Required experience & skills:

  • Degree Qualified in Human Factors, psychology, cognitive engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with previous Human Factors experience in the rail sector as essential criteria.
  • Able to perform detailed research and analysis coupled with proposal writing.
  • Proven abilities to build sound working relationships across diverse groups, internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate a robust commercial acumen and a proactive approach to assist in the development of innovative solutions.
