role summary |
The Capability, Knowledge and Skills Transfer Advisor (CKST Advisor) will work within the CKST team to support connection and collaboration with our internal Metrolinx stakeholders as part of the Program Delivery Partner (PDP) team.
Reporting to the CKST Manager and CKST Lead, the CKST Advisor will support the discovery, development, and deployment process of knowledge transfer and training assets for the GO Expansion Program. The CKST Advisor will support the implementation of best practices and upskilling training assets that are scalable and repeatable for Knowledge Transfer across the GO Expansion program and beyond to other Metrolinx programs within the organization’s portfolio.
The goal is to facilitate Metrolinx and PDP Team Members in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner that can be tracked, reported and improved on through continuous improvement during the GOE Program lifespan.
Core Responsibilities |
- Support the initial gap analysis discovery to understand the future scope for upskilling PDP team members within the GO Expansion (GOE) scope and inform a CKST Baseline Strategy for the GOE program.
- Collaborate with Metrolinx’s Capital Projects Group (CPG) Knowledge, Training and Change Business Services Team to improve best practices for developing training and development assets that are engaging and developing
- Provide ongoing support and facilitation to Communities of Practice to foster professional capability development
- Coordinate the development of induction training for PDP employees to ensure consistent understanding and adoption of internal processes, business practices and culture
- Create engaging L & D assets and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer working with PDP SMEs
- Maintain and facilitate CKST delivery processes, including but not limited to:

- Support coordination of lessons learned and the knowledge transfer process to relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate reporting progress and performance across all aspects of knowledge and skills transfer to support continuous improvement
Qualifications |
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in applicable field
Years of experience: 0-2 years
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to use learning design tools and software plus learn new technologies where necessary
- Experience working in Learning and Development/Project/Program delivery environments
- Experience in organizational development, team building, Lean & Agile methodologies, and continuous improvement
- Experience of supporting knowledge and skills transfer within programs or project delivery environments
- Knowledge of contemporary online education strategies and edtech innovations is a plus
- Either a Project &/or Program Management qualification is a plus
- Experience with data analytics and implementing monitoring and reporting techniques is a plus
