Job Summary

  • We are looking for a change specialist to join our Capability and Change team.
  • Reporting to the High Performance and Change Lead, you will be responsible for planning and executing activities to achieve the change management strategy that enables a complex rail infrastructure enhancement program for our client in Canada.  We are the Delivery Partner working with our client to leave a legacy of a sustainable, high performing, empowered culture that leads to repeatable delivery success.
  • The objective of the High Performance and Change team is to create a “learn it all”, collaborative culture with our client and their supply chain through change, that delivers program capability, empowers and encourages innovation.
  • This role reports into MCS but is based at the client premises working with our Corridor Delivery Teams and an assigned Delivery Vice President

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders within Metrolinx including Program Delivery Teams, key Tier 1 and 2 suppliers where the planned transformation will have the most impact on the GO Expansion Program
  • Deliver change programs for each of these audiences to:
    • Embed new skills and processes identified by the SMEs in the functional teams,
    • Bridge the gap identified through the maturity assessments across each perspective
    • Roll out general set of improvements required of modern PDTs and Suppliers e.g., health and safety, planning, commercial change, risk
    • Develop the collaborative behaviors required for strong delivery partnerships to be established between client and supply chain
  • Support the successful rollout and embedding of change initiatives through effective engagement with stakeholders and feedback with recommendations for improvement
  • Undertake audits to monitor the success of planned and unplanned change processes and plan any remedial work to address shortfalls in embedment
  • Manage the processes for planned and unplanned changes and deliver a train the trainer program to enable teams to own their transformation
  • Deliver leadership and management development programs (using coaching, and other collaboration tools such as Core Strengths) to address assessed shortfalls
  • Support the High Performance and Change Lead to further identify and execute change in the areas where the transformation would have the most impact and to deliver the Program Outcomes in partnership with the Major Program Leadership Team

 

 

Technical Competencies Required

 

The postholder will bring subject matter expertise from either a specific sector/s or specialist capabilities that they employ in a change management capacity across multiple clients, sectors and geographies. 

 

The key technical competencies required to perform the role well are outlined below.

 

  • Degree level education in Change Management or equivalent industry experience evidencing major change program outcomes
  • Certified change practitioner in one or more recognised change methodology
