Role and responsibilities


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Planning, organization and coordination of activities related to Operating Systems (control room, SCADA, video surveillance, public address, access control, network, radio communication, SAEIV, ticketing, arterial manager) for all project phases:
  • Planning phase: Preliminary design studies, preparation of tenders, evaluation of proposals, contract finalization;
  • Implementation phase: Detailed design studies, Factory tests, Implementation, Site tests, Commissioning.
  • Coordination of activities carried out internally by the SYSTRA Group and interfacing with those carried out by the Client on technical, organizational and contractual aspects;
  • Monitoring the scope, risks, costs and schedule of the Operating Systems;
  • Steering the transportation system integration aspects of the project and insertion with existing systems for the operating systems;
  • Management of the interfaces involving the operating systems;
  • Participation in a multidisciplinary, multi-entity and multi-site team in the context of a large-scale transportation project.




Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field;


Years of experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience in similar positions;


Technical competencies:

  • Significant experience in operating systems for transit projects
  • Membership in the Professional Engineers of Ontario is an asset.

  • Autonomous and able to work as part of a team or in collaboration with multiple teams
  • Good stress management
  • Well organized and professional
  • Fluency in English and French, spoken, read, and written.
