Role and responsibilities


  • Support and resolve requests using the iTop ticketing system.
    • Provide support to users and resolve level 1 technical issues.
    • Forward more complex level 2 or higher issues to IT Technicians.
    • Ensure the transfer of information necessary for the handling of problems at all levels.
    • Ensure the existence, modification of an iTop procedure in case of level 1 or 2 support.
  • Take care of the IT integration of the users.
    • Ensure the follow-up of the training procedure and good practices of the IT material to the users.
    • Take charge of the loan form and ensure its signature by the users.
    • Maintain an up-to-date, real-time inventory of equipment and software, pre-approved by the IT Manager.
    • Ensure that equipment is ready for delivery to users, if necessary.
    • Ensure that equipment is returned by users, if necessary.
  • Provide support to IT Technicians during hardware and software installations (Windows installation, profile installation, hardware, and software upgrades).
  • Participate in the writing and updating of IT documentation for the team and users.
  • Any related tasks or projects as requested by the IT Manager.





Education: College diploma (DEC) in computer science

Years of experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a similar position


Technical competencies:

  • Good knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems.
  • Good knowledge of the Office 365 suite, Teams and SharePoint Online.
  • Knowledge of programming, (DOS scripts on Windows, Visual Basic Macros Vlookup on Excel, C++ on Arduino, Python on RPi, VB.Net on Visual Studio), an asset.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Suite (Civil3d), Solidworks and EPDM, an asset.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, an asset.

  • Excellent analytical skills, logical thinking, and good problem-solving skills.

  • Fluency in spoken, read and written French, an asset.
