Role and responsibilities

  • Support several Project and Program teams through multiple delivery Life Cycle stages.
  • Manage the monitoring and reporting of Program-level progress.
  • Responsible for managing, fostering, and maintaining senior level client relationships.
  • Identification and escalation of Program level risks and issues that impact on delivery.
  • Evaluate and establish best practice Program policies, processes, and procedures that are in keeping with the agreed Program delivery approach.
  • Review of existing conditions and establishment of industry best practice processes.
  • Promoting collaboration and building relationships.

 

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or related field

Years of experience: Min 5 years of experience in construction project delivery or project management. Railway construction experience preferred

 

 

Technical competencies:

  • Ability to identify & analyze Project, Program and Business risks.
  • Mastery in setting up effective project controls systems & procedures.
  • Detailed understanding of construction technology, planning, delivery, and site logistics.
  • Adept at monitoring and reporting Program-level progress and assure efficient and effective use of resources across the program.
  • Understanding of various Contract, Commercial and Governance procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of accurate data and reporting both internal and external.
  • Recognizes opportunities for innovation or improvements on existing working practices.

 

Personal & soft skills:

  • Ability to anticipate and forecast the key risks and opportunities available to the Program to ensure the core vision is achieved.

Key Experience/Other Mandatory Attainments

  • Strong program manager level leadership skills to manage and motivate program delivery teams delivering high risk, complex projects/programs.
  • High level of knowledge and understanding relating to planning and project management tools and techniques.
  • Deep awareness of safety issues in an operational / project delivery environment.
  • High level of knowledge and understanding relating to contractual issues in a project environment.
  • Degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the Program, Project, or Commercial Management disciplines.
