Core Responsibilities |
Reporting Analyst will be eresponsible for daily project schedule duties including the following:
- Day-to-day Risk Register ownership
- Proactively analyse KPI forecasts, leading indicators and predictors and risks of missing KPIs, and impact for applicable KRAs (Key Responsibility Areas)
- Compiling relevant data on the project, mostly related to KPIs/KRAs but also other performance data
- Designing leading indicator methodologies, identifying and testing dependencies, correlations and causality relationships
- Supporting project planning strategy and execution
- Analyse planned targets (set-up by various Parties) whether they are realistic and can be realistically met without compromising the quality of the project
- Design project reports in a way that they are clear, understandable and presentable
- Work closely with the Risk Manager and Reporting Manager to provide complete KPI and their Risk picture for the Project and ensure that as a Delivery Partner, we’re providing value added risk services to the Client
- Works closes with the whole project team to come up with meaningful, cost-efficient and effective mitigation strategies
- Ensure sustainability is at the heart of Program process and decision making to ensure the right decisions are made now and for the future.
- Facilitate a project environment which is collaborative, inclusive, diverse and celebrates our differences.
- Create a high performing culture open to constructive challenge, seeking continual improvement and implementing lessons identified and original ideas from past experience, skill level, analytical abilities
- Training and development, mentoring of junior staff
Technical Management Expertise |
- Demonstrates leadership and core competencies at a high level of development and is an exemplary model of living the corporate Values and Code of Ethics
- Has a keen understanding of design and construction schedules, their typical dependencies, baselines, sensitivity analysis, critical paths, schedule risk analysis
- Understands Construction and Transit project risks, including technical, social, procurement, political, interface, organizational, and local (Toronto) specific risks
- Understands Organizational Structures and value of correct schedules/baselines and resource loading and their impact upon KPIs
- Leads by example
- Provides key support to the team engaged in evaluating project KPIs and risks to them, challenging and adding to the KRA definitions
Qualifications |
Education: Degree in engineering, construction management, project management, applied sciences or equivalent, with a mathematical background
Years of experience: Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in a project oriented organization, culminating in Project Engineer capacity, Intermediate Specialist or equivalent
Technical Competencies:
- Exposure to statistical methods
- Experience in developing report templates, data representation
- Experience with working with risk registers, baselines and associated analyses (sensitivity, risk, float, critical path)
- Knowledge of tools such as Excel, Powerpoint,
- Has sufficient experience to be able to provide meaningful input into developing risk mitigation strategies (has to have practical operations knowledge to make substantial impact)
- Experience setting and analysing KPIs
- Experience with change management and implementation within a production environment
- Dynamic engagement skills, ability to clearly articulate information, excellent communications ability
- Able to work in large, collaborative teams with multiple partner
