Role and responsibilities

Reporting into the Program Controls Lead for the GO Expansion Program, the Program Reporting Lead is responsible for delivering all aspects of reporting for the GO Expansion Program.  This involves working with key stakeholders to define and develop meaningful reports – including dashboards and other analytics products, hold regular performance reviews, and enable diverse stakeholder audiences to use those products allowing for data-driven decision making on the GO Expansion Program.

 

  • Work with client and all functional teams such as scheduling, cost/accounting, risk, communication, Health & Safety, construction and others to gather their reporting needs and locate their data. 

  • Create data connections and transform data from various ERP sources such as Unifier, P6, EcoSys and Aconex. Design and implement apps, forms and lists to gather non-ERP and non-structured data. 

  • Support the design and develop fully automated PowerBI dashboards reporting on project performance.  

  • Support the assembly, review, editing and submission of all reporting outputs, not limited to the PowerBI reports, including the monthly and quarterly progress reports and other ad hoc reports as may be required.  

  • Assisting Management in interpreting the Project and Program report information. 

  • Work with the Management of the cross-functional teams to develop and introduce continuous improvements to enhance report quality.  

  • Any additional duties, as deemed necessary to support the deliverables and Key Activities during ASP. 

 

Technical Management Expertise:

The key technical competencies required to perform the role well are outlined below:

  • A solid background in project controls of large capital engineering and construction projects, with at least 3 years of experience in calculating project controls key performance indicators (KPIs) from raw data and design of reports. 

  • Minimum 3 years' experience with extract, transform and load (ETL) process and data visualization with Power BI. 1 year experience with the rest of the Power Platform such as Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Apps is a major asset. Knowledge of Python (Matplotlib) and R Script visualization is a major asset.   

  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls. 

  • Working experience with Primavera P6, MS Project and other Earned Value and PMIS tools is an asset.  

  • Have or are working towards professional accreditation with PMI and AACE. 

  • Advanced skills with relational and multidimensional database schemas. Experience with Data Warehouse architecture and OLAP data source is an asset. 

  • Experience with 3D BIM is an asset. 

  • Familiarity with reporting and business intelligence platforms in the Construction industry is an asset.
