Role and responsibilities

Reporting into the Program Controls Lead for the GO Expansion Program, the Program Reporting Lead is responsible for delivering all aspects of reporting for the GO Expansion Program.  This involves working with key stakeholders to define and develop meaningful reports – including dashboards and other analytics products, hold regular performance reviews, and enable diverse stakeholder audiences to use those products allowing for data-driven decision making on the GO Expansion Program.

 

  • Responsible for assisting the Program Reporting Lead to produce Program reporting deliverables, reporting content and analysis
  • Serve as the Program Controls Reporting interface with Program Planners, Commercial and Program Management personnel
  • Work with the Program Controls Reporting Team and Program Teams to produce reporting deliverables to time and quality
  • Notify staff & stakeholders of reporting requirements and timelines and ensure deadlines are met
  • Ensure that project information is distilled into meaningful information for reporting and presentation
  • Develop reporting dashboards using Power BI; making use of various visual types
  • Analyze project data and provide detailed cost and schedule variance analysis information
  • Facilitate and support the monthly internal management and Program review meetings
  • Perform Project Controls surveillances on individual Projects to ensure adherence to requirements

 

Technical Management Expertise:

The key technical competencies required to perform the role well are outlined below:

  • Hands on experience in production of high-quality reporting documents
  • Expertise in manipulating departmental output into meaningful, useful and attractive reports for internal and external customers
  • Technical writing and graphic design experience a plus
  • Coordinate with teams & stakeholders to produce and analyze monthly Program Reports
  • Co-ordinate the input and production of monthly program reports
  • Quality assure all key reports to ensure a consistent & high standard of Project & Program reporting
  • Works with database and reporting specialists to ensure quality and efficiency of Program reporting
  • Experience and proven track record in Project Controls is essential
  • Thorough knowledge of project controls functions, specifically in the areas of baseline development, performance management and scheduling
  • Must be fluent in the use of computer software Microsoft Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with skills in Macros, data warehousing & coding a plus
  • Knowledge & experience in the use of Microsoft SharePoint, SQL, Primavera P6 scheduling, Earned Value software all a plus

Technical Management Expertise:

  • Proven ability to manage a team effectively and co-ordinate activities within and across large organizations.
  • At least 5-7 years Experience in Program/Project Controls
  • A Degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline preferred
  • Have registered on and are working towards professional qualifications (e.g. APM, PMI)
