Project Manager, Operating Systems

Specific responsibilities

  • Planning, organization and coordination of activities related to Operating Systems (control station, SCADA, video surveillance, sound system, access control, network, radio communication, SAEIV, ticketing, arterial manager) for all phases of the project:
    • Planning phase: Preliminary design studies, preparation of calls for tenders, evaluation of proposals, finalization of contracts.
    • Implementation Phase: Detailed Design Studies, Factory Trials, Implementation, Site Trials, Commissioning.
  • Coordination of the activities carried out internally by SYSTRA Group and in interface with those carried out by the Client in terms of technical, organizational and contractual aspects.
  • Monitoring the scope, risks, costs and schedule of the Operating Systems.
  • Management of the project's transportation system integration aspects and integration with the operating systems already existing on the Quebec City transportation network.
  • Steering the interfaces involving the operating systems.
  • Participation in a multidisciplinary, multi-entity and multi-site team within the framework of a large-scale transportation project.

 

Personal and other qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in similar positions.
  • Significant experience in operating systems for public transit projects.
  • Autonomy and ability to work independently or in collaboration with several teams.
  • Good stress management, organized and professional.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, an asset.
  • Fluency in French and English, spoken, read and written.
